We can not get Marleigh to sleep in her crib. No matter what we try, she will only sleep about 45 minutes maximum. Now if we put her in her swing, she'll sleep upwards of almost 6 hours at night. I've tried everything I can think of. I've let her fall alseep in the swing & moving her later. No dice. I've rocked her for over an hour & then put her in her crib. Nope. She's not having any of that. I've tried swaddling her tightly. I've tried leaving her arms free. I've tried propping her feet up like they are when she is in her swing. Why won't she sleep?
Need help.... Need sleep!!! Any suggestions?!?
Try propping her mattress up so that she sleeps on an incline. I don't have kids so I am no expert but it worked for one of the girls I used to watch during the summers. Worth a try. Tiffany Hansen
ReplyDeletewill she sleep in the car seat? We had a friend that had to put his baby in his car seat and set the car seat in the crib to sleep. Don't know that that is a solution, but I think Jaiden felt more secure like someone was holding him. The good news is that he outgrew it.... Love you Lots! Aunt Pat
ReplyDeleteIf she sleeps in the swing, she's at least sleeping! You just kinda do whatever works for her. Jonathan slept in his car seat, swing, bassinet, etc.... Don't stress. She will out grow it and be sleeping all night long in her own bed before you know it :) Lots of love, Cousin Jessica
ReplyDeleteWould her baby bed be too quiet? I am sure that she was used to alot of different noises in ICU, ie machines, activity, oxygen tanks, etc. She listens to your heartbeat when you hold her. I wonder if one of the machines that makes the ocean noises, outdoor sounds, or the like, would keep her asleep? Good luck.
