Random stories...

I know... 2 posts in 2 days?!? Its like Christmas and your birthday all at the same time!!! Ha ha!!!

Just had to share a couple of stories.

Guess who took her first step during harvest?!? (No, it wasn't grandma!) Marleigh let go of the couch and took one step! I was so proud of her. She is still a little shaky, but is trusting her legs more and more. I'm sure in the next few weeks, we'll have a full fledged walker on our hands!

My sister, Shannon was saying prayers with my nephew, Luke. I guess he asked where God was. Shannon answered that He was in heaven. She said Luke looked up at her and said, "with baby Natalie, Mom?" She teared up and told him, "yes, with baby Natalie." Then he said, "and Jesus." She told him yes. God must of known she needed a laugh, because then Luke said, "and Mary Carpenter?" She had to think for a minute, but the realized one of his books said something about Mary marrying a carpenter, Joseph. So, Luke thinks the virgin Mary's name is Mary Carepenter. How cute is that?!? I am so glad that he remembers Natalie. I'm sure he was too young at the time to remember, he was just 13 months old when the girls were born. He remembers because Shannon has told him about Natalie, and I am thankful that she has.

Harvest is over!

Harvest is over! It went relatively smoothly. The wheat was pretty good, but more than anything, we were just happy to have something to cut! Up north, they have been getting pounded by strong storms. Both Marc and Jaeson lost their wedding rings, but things can be replaced. We're just thankful it was losing just rings, not fingers! :) Marleigh had a great time with Grandma. They played and swam pretty much every day.

"Hi, Mom!"

Reading to Mickey.

"Um, Aunt Sarah, I'm not real sure about these shades."

Busy, busy, busy!!!

The last couple of weeks have been busy! Last weekend my brother-in-law and sister were home to install a sprinkler system for my parent's yard. I helped a bit, but had way more fun playing in the pool with Luke and Marleigh. They had a ball together. Tuesday night we grabbed Aunt Myra and went to Gunnar's baseball game. Marleigh loves to go watch baseball... or maybe just being outside! Wednesday night Aunt Myra went with us to Garrett's baseball game. And, yesterday.... wheat harvest started! So I will be in the graincart for the next week or so. Daddy will be in the combine or truck, and Marleigh will be playing with Grandma! I'm sure I'll have plenty of pictures to share!
