We had a very nice weekend! Friday night, Jaeson, Lindsey, and Gunnar, as well as Myra came over. We grilled some amazing Fillets (thanks, Lindsey) and just hung out. Gunnar is adorable to watch with Marleigh. He is so patient and gentle with her. She grabbed his PS2 while he was in the middle of the football game, and he just let her have it to look at and play with. If that would have been me, and I was in the middle of a game, I don't think I would have been so nice! Ha ha!!! He has the cutest baby voice that he uses when he talks to her. I've got some pictures of them that I'll try to get added (maybe this afternoon).
We had a garage sale on Saturday morning. It was freezing and a bit windy, but that didn't stop the bargain-hunting faithful. We basically sold everything in the first two hours! I was glad to get rid of some junk...errrrr... wonderful treasures! ;) We had lunch with Grandma and Aunt Myra (Grandma sold some stuff at the garage sale, and Aunt Myra was nice enough to come over to watch Marleigh during the garage sale). Then just hung out Saturday night.
Sunday was a great Mother's Day. We went over to Great Bend with Grandma and Papa for lunch. Marleigh has FINALLY figured out how to mash food up with her gums! I am so excited. before she would try to swallow everything without chewing and gag herself. Sunday she ate: a donut, tomato, crouton, baked potato, mashed potato, and a cookie! I am so proud of her!!! Now she wants to eat everything we eat. Daddy, Marleigh, and I took a nap when we got home. Then Myra came over for dinner, or I guess breakfast. We made breakfast for dinner. French toast and scrambled eggs. Yummy!!!!
Marleigh is constantly on the go! She has figured out how to move her feet and is wanting to walk everywhere. No more yelling at her feet... which is kind of sad. It was a hoot to watch her yell at them. It was as if she was saying, "MOVE!!! I have places I want to go!!!" Of course, we still have to hold onto her for balance, but she is a girl on the move. Marc was calling her Jo-Jo the Circus Bear because she is non-stop crawling/pulling up/wanting to walk. It won't be long before she's toddling around on her own!
